What helps your family flourish?
Researchers at York University want to learn from you. If you’re a South Asian family living in Canada with an autistic family member aged 10–18, you’re invited to join the Family Flourishing Study. Led by Clinical-Developmental Psychology graduate student Nisha Vashi and Principal Investigator Dr. Jonathan Weiss, this research focuses not on challenges—but on strength, joy, and connection.
Families will take part in a 45–60 minute online interview to share what contributes to their well-being and resilience. Interviews are available in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Gujarati. As a thank-you, participants will receive a $20 e-gift card.
This is an opportunity to contribute to autism research that recognizes cultural experiences and celebrates family strength. Let’s shape more inclusive autism services—together.
