This Robotics and Coding group offers learners an engaging, hands-on way to explore STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). Through designing structures and programming them to move, learners build problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, gain hands-on coding experience, and grow their confidence along the way.

Sample Goals
- Learn basic coding skills using the Scratch platform
- Collaborate with peers to build a structure together
- Requesting, offering, and accepting help from peers
- Stating ideas to the group and being flexible with peers’ ideas
- Following deadlines by staying on task to complete assignments
Eligibility
- “Group ready”: Your child is ready to join a group if they are able to remain in the same room with other children, without engaging in behaviours that may pose a risk to themselves or others (e.g., high rates of aggression or self-injury; elopement)
- Can follow multi-step instructions
- Can join and attend to a group activity for 20 mins
- Can ask and answer questions with peers
- Is able to understand others using sentences
- Has basic computer skills
- Has strong fine motor skills for building with small items
