Mindful Glow isn’t your typical skincare brand. It’s a business rooted in compassion, connection, and a deep desire to create meaningful change. Born out of the SPARKS Incubator at the SAAAC Autism Centre, Mindful Glow was founded by a group of mothers who share more than a love for wellness—they share the journey of raising autistic children.

These mothers met through SPARKS, a program designed to empower autism individuals and their caregivers—especially those from newcomer and marginalized communities—to explore entrepreneurship. What began as a series of structured workshops quickly evolved into something more: a sisterhood united by shared experience and a shared vision. As they swapped business ideas, personal stories, and dreams for the future, one need became overwhelmingly clear—employment opportunities for their children and other autistic adults.

Traditional employment settings often aren’t built with neurodiversity in mind. Sensory demands, communication differences, and rigid schedules can make finding and maintaining work incredibly difficult for autistic individuals. Rather than waiting for systems to change, these women took action. They decided to build something themselves—something that could model what inclusive employment truly looks like.

That’s how Mindful Glow came to life: a handcrafted, ethically made skincare line that doubles as a training ground for autistic youth. Every balm, scrub, and oil is produced in small batches using all-natural, fair-trade ingredients. But more importantly, each product is made with purpose—and with people in mind.

The social enterprise serves as a hands-on learning hub where autistic individuals can explore meaningful work in a safe, flexible, and supportive environment. Whether mixing ingredients, labeling products, or preparing packages, participants develop real-world skills, build confidence, and gain experience that can be transferred to future opportunities.

“We want our children to thrive,” one of the mothers shared. “If the world doesn’t have a place ready for them, then we’ll build one ourselves.”

Mindful Glow’s vision doesn’t stop with skincare. The founders see this as a platform for long-term impact—one that can grow to hire more autistic adults, expand product lines, and inspire other families to reimagine what entrepreneurship can be. It’s a powerful example of what’s possible when caregivers are given the space and tools to lead.

From a small room at SAAAC to a growing social enterprise, Mindful Glow is more than a brand—it’s a movement. It represents what happens when inclusion and innovation go hand in hand.

When you purchase from Mindful Glow, you’re not just buying self-care products. You’re investing in a future where everyone—regardless of ability—has the chance to shine.
