The purpose of our after school program is to utilize volunteers from the South Asian community (consisting of students from post secondary institutions) to identify the talents and strengths of children with ASD. Our program serves as an excellent opportunity for children to expand and analyze the information they learn at school. It can also serve as a time to practice exercises assigned to them by the speech and ABA therapists.  SAAAC hopes to create a meaningful relationship between volunteer and student, and we believe such mentorship and guidance from youths from the South Asian community will foster positive growth and development for children with ASD.
