Occupational Therapy

According to the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, occupational therapy is a health profession that is directed toward enabling people to participate in daily occupations, including taking care of oneself (e.g., dressing, bathing), contributing to society (e.g. paid and unpaid work, school) and enjoying life (e.g., hobbies, sports). The Occupational Therapists at SAAAC work on a consulting capacity, assessing participants and guiding SAAAC staff on what areas to focus on in order to develop the skill set of participants.
